Lantania Scale

Lantania scale (Hemiberlesia lataniae) is a type of armoured scale and can be detected on leaves, twigs, fruit and as pitting on the bark of stems. Infested fruit turn pale green or yellow where the scales feed. The discoloration remains on the skin even if the scales are removed by natural enemies or when the fruit is cleaned before packing.
