Distance Plus Ant Bait provides long-lasting control of invasive and nuisance ants in domestic, commercial, environmental and agricultural situations.

Distance Plus Ant Bait is picked up by foraging ants, taken back to the nest and fed to the queen. The bait contains an insect growth regulator (pyriproxyfen) which stops the queen producing eggs. No more eggs, no more ants, no more problem. It may take a little longer to work, but its unique mode of action targets the queen, ensuring the death of the colony.

As Pyriproxifen, the active in Distance Plus Ant Bait, is an insect growth regulator, it has no impact on vertebrates. This great safety profile is one of the reasons it has an unscheduled poison classification.  This allows it to be used in a wide range of domestic, commercial, environmental and agricultural situations. In fact, it is the only ant bait registered for use in cropping situations and can safely be used around livestock such as cattle, sheep, pigs and horses. Its low impact on non-target animals is a key reason for its use in the Government ant control programs in Australia on red imported fire ants and yellow crazy ants.
